Is your high school senior "college-ready"?
College Preparation Coaching is intended to help navigate the path to a successful and more productive college career.  The process of college preparation can be a confusing and frustrating time for future college students and their families

By enrolling in College Preparation Coaching, you can ease some of the stress caused by this process, leaving more time and energy to focus on all of the other exciting and important high school learning and activities.

I combine my expertise as a Ph.D. level counselor / therapist with my experience of having been a school principal, teacher and an adjunct professor for SPU, SU, WWU, and EWU.  With these experiences along with successfully completing my own Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees, I know too well what it takes to navigate through the college system, use the strategies necessary to transition successfully from high school to post-secondary life, and manage time, stress, finances, and motivation to succeed.

As a College Preparation Specialist, I help students create their future vision after high school and set a plan of action toward achieving it.  Through the coaching process, students plan with purpose, determine goals, face their fears and challenges, deepen their learning, and start to envision their future after high school

Looking ahead to the future while also focusing on the here-and-now regarding high school course work, earning excellent grades, organizing, and studying effectively and efficiently are also addressed in College Preparation Coaching.  I enjoy empowering students "to be in the driver's seat" of life when forming a post-secondary plan.

Coaching, as a co-active model, involves asking questions, listening, challenging, goal setting, problem solving, and accountability.  The key is helping kids get "unstuck" now before heading to college.  Coaching can occur in-person at my Kirkland office, by telephone, or via email.  It's not too soon to start preparing for that post-secondary transition.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or are ready to move forward with College Preparation Coaching.  My number is (206) 550-3596 or email me at DrKyle@DrKyle.org.
